About The Cabochons Pictured On Our Logo...
We are frequently asked about the suite of three stunning cabochons depicted on our logo banner for greatcabochons.com. These beautiful cabs were cut from silicated azurite with associated cuprite and malachite from the Metcalf Mine, which is located east of Morenci in Graham County, Arizona. The combined weight of this three cab suite was 21.7 grams (108.5 carats). The large stone measured 40.9 x 29.5mm, the smaller pair of stones measured 36.5 x 25.0mm.
These cabs were sold around the year 2000. Sorry, we do not have any more of this material available for sale as either cabs or rough, and to the best of our knowledge the source of this material is long exhausted.
PLEASE NOTE: Items designated as or or SOLD or RESERVED are no longer available for purchase. |
